Money-Saving Tips for Healthy Eating
I am all about saving money while eating healthy! This is why I have partnered up with Sprouts to talk about some money-saving tips! They have over 2,400 amazing healthy products that are affordable. In this post’s photos, you will see some of my favorite seasonal items from Spouts. My top favorite is their Maple Pumpkin Spread that I put on a slice of whole wheat bread for breakfast. At the end of this post, I will share with you the amazing deals that Sprouts are offering for their grand opening in Herndon, Virginia. They have a lot of locations around the U.S. so check out the Sprouts Store Locator if you are not local to Virginia. With that said, let’s dive into some money-saving tips! If you have any money-saving tips of your own be sure to leave it in the comments below.
Buy in Bulk
First out of four money-saving tips I am going to discuss today is to buy in bulk. Sprouts Farmer Market stores have a special department where you can stock up on items in bulk such as beans, grains, granolas, spices, nuts, sweets, and much more. This allows you to only buy what you need! I love to buy items in bulk that I know I am going to eat every day such as oats for breakfast. I either make oatmeal out of this or put it in my smoothies.
Shop at a Store that Prides themselves on Savings!
Just like shopping for clothes, there are more expensive and less expensive stores. Grocery shopping has the same concept! Sprouts pride themselves on providing farm-fresh produce that is priced 20-25 percent below supermarket prices. Sprouts brand offers a wide selection of natural and organic products, as well as gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO varieties. You can find their fresh produce in the middle of their stores. The best part about their farm-fresh products is that they offer unique items like cotton candy grapes, lychee, star fruit, and a variety of other items that I totally suggest you try the next time you are in one of their stores!
Use a Coupon App
A third great way to save while shopping is to use a coupon saving app. I have saved over $200 in just this year alone since I started using mobile apps to save on groceries. There are some apps that let you choose from multiple stores, but Sprouts have their own exclusive digital coupon Sprout mobile app that makes it super easy to plan ahead and save. All you have to do is create an account to clip digital coupons and then scan your custom barcode in the app during checkout to enjoy instant savings.
Grand Opening Deals!
Last but not least, look for store grand openings to save money! For Sprouts grand opening in Herndon, Virginia on October 2nd, they are going to give the first 200 shoppers in line a 20 percent discount off their initial purchase. It’s going to be a party with muffin and coffee samples served to everyone in line before the doors open. Upon checkout, every 15th shopper will receive a coupon booklet featuring Sprouts savings. Every customer will receive one free reusable bag with purchase. Reusable bags help the environment so much! If you didn’t check out my first post on how organic farming benefits your health and the environment, go read it now!
I’m excited to share that Sprouts is going to be having some amazing opening deals for that first weekend as well! On October 5th, the first 200 customers that make a purchase will receive a coupon booklet for five free deli items! The next day, October 6th, every 15th customer will receive a coupon for $5 off a purchase of more than $15 to use on their next visit. I spend about $30 for a week’s worth of groceries so this is amazing!

Love these tips! Thank you! I also have never heard of cotton candy grapes, but I can’t wait to try them. I recently found chocolate hummus and use it to dip fruit in as a healthy dessert alternative. 🙂 Yumo!

I’m always looking for a healthy snack. I’m not the type of person who can go after dinner without desert – bad habit I know!! Cant quit my naughty habit but I try to choose a healthy treat rather than an unhealthy treat. If it is affordable, all the better!
